Welcome to the ParkLands Foundation web site.

MISSION: The mission of the ParkLands Foundation is to preserve, protect and ecologically restore historic natural lands in the middle and upper Mackinaw Valley watershed. These lands are dedicated primarily for preserving the biological diversity of native plans and wildlife, and secondarily for passive public recreation, environmental educational and scientific research.

"I go to nature to be soothed and healed, and to have my senses put in order."
~ John Burroughs
E-Newsletter announcement for October-November Newsletter

ParkLands Foundation will be launching a new E-Newsletter (email) notification program for members beginning with the December-January 2012-13 Edition. The Foundation will utilize Google Groups to send out update reminders that a new newsletter has been posted to the Foundation's website. This will improve distribution efficiency and manage increasing publication and distribution costs. It also allows the Foundation to "speak" to you, our loyal membership more timely.

You will still have the option to receive the newsletter by mail and the ability to subscribe and unsubscribe at your own discretion.

Note: Only ParkLands Foundation staff has the ability to post. Members of this group are not able to view another's email address. All replies to a post are sent to the ParkLands Foundation administrative office.

Some members have already provided their email addresses and are awaiting this new service. All you have to do to subscribe is to email a request from the address you wish to receive to ParkLandsOffice@gmail.com. Please direct any questions to that same address.

Summer Internships

ParkLands Foundation is seeking applicants for two paid summer internships to assist with natural areas restoration. Applications due April 8. Download the Stewardship Application for more information.
